Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 August 2026

This policy explains what personal data TuneCube ("we", "us") collects, why, and the rights you have. We are based in the United Kingdom and handle data in line with UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: your email address, display name/handle, genre, bio, profile photos, and social links you add.
  • Transaction data: tiles purchased, subscription status, order history and receipts. Card details are handled directly by Stripe — we never see or store them.
  • Usage data: grid interactions, tile clicks and views, discovery activity, and conversion events, used to operate stats and improve the service.
  • Content you upload: audio clips, images, and free-text fields, which are also processed by automated moderation to keep the platform safe.

2. How we use it

  • To run your account, display your tile and public artist profile.
  • To process payments, subscriptions, trials, and receipts.
  • To operate features such as the Daily Superstar, discovery, and waitlist.
  • To moderate content and enforce our terms.
  • To send service emails (receipts, notifications). We do not send marketing email without your consent.

3. Legal bases

We process data to perform our contract with you (account, purchases), for our legitimate interests (security, moderation, analytics), and where required, with your consent.

4. Who we share it with

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Infrastructure and email providers — hosting, database, and transactional email delivery.
  • Public content you choose to publish (handle, bio, photo, links, tile) is visible to visitors and A&R users of the platform.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Retention

We keep account and transaction data while your account is active and as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. You can request deletion at any time (see below).

6. Your rights

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Data portability.
  • Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

To exercise any right, email chris@tunecube.co.uk.
